My son is a dual enrollment student at our college. He has just finished his first year and is still a junior in high school. I couldn't be more pleased with the effort he has put in to excelling this year. He just completed finals from his 2nd semester (taking 5 classes) and it was a tough week.
His classes were in English, Geography, Economics, Spanish and my favorite, Calculus II. Somehow he balanced that with Track practice every day, club meetings at the high school, Civil Air Patrol and spending time with his friends. I think that if I were not his math tutor, I would never actually see him!
Finals week is loaded with the pressure of performing well in every subject. There is a test or project due almost daily and the stress can be overwhelming. He pushed through and got everything done, sending me a text last evening telling me he had all As. :) He's taking a week of downtime before starting a job for the summer. He needs it and deserves it!
