Stone Mountain

When I was a kid, we often spent a day at Stone Mountain. We'd climb up, wander around, climb down, then have a picnic lunch. It didn't matter what we ate because we were always starving after the trek. Good memories.

I realized my 11-year-old had never experienced it, so I set aside Wednesday to make up for my lack of adventure with her. She didn't want to climb the mountain, but being the cruel mother I am, I told her we must! And we did! She loved it and gave me a high five at the summit. :) It was peaceful just to sit and relax.

The remainder of the day consisted of a picnic lunch, driving over a covered bridge, riding a train, seeing a 4D movie, riding the sky lift back up and down the mountain, and watching a fabulous LaserShow after dark.

Psalm 72:3 The mountains will bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.

We made it home 15 hours after we left, but oh, what a fun time we had!
