A Good Name

A couple weeks ago my son got a new pet.  He chose a ball python.  Yes, he got a snake.  I'm not so sure about it but for now it's small and will not escape his cage. My son takes it out and plays with it quite a bit, but I tend to stay a few feet away any time I happen to be in the room.

As with any pet, one challenge is finding a suitable name.  My son is taking Spanish this year and wanted to name it El Diablo.  No, no, no.  I do not want to call a pet The Devil.

Late one night I was busy in the kitchen and was asking myself what would be a good name for a pet snake, when a line from an old movie came to me.  "That's just my pet snake Reggie."  Since it was from 'Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark', it was deemed cool enough for the snake.  Now Reggie is living happily in my son's room and with a fairly friendly name, I might touch him one day.  Might.
