Shopping for Clothes

I'm one of those people who rarely takes time to go shopping. When I do I usually go alone, but I decided to ask my mom to go with me since I was headed to one of those multi-level malls.  I guess some might not want to take their mom with them shopping, but my Mom and I have the same shopping habits so it works out perfectly.  You see, we head to the clearance racks, look for our sizes, pull out goofy stuff so we can roll our eyes, and generally treat shopping like a mission. After a couple hours, her feet hurt, my back hurts, and we are ready to call it quits.

During our search, we both commented on how pricey some of the items were. Especially dresses that we had both seen as fashionable 40 years ago.  Mom would pick up an outfit and say it was similar to something she once wore to work. Back then, my mom and her mom made most of those dresses.  More than once I said or thought, 'I have got to start sewing again.'  Even yesterday, my daughter asked when I was going to start sewing.  I think I'm getting the message.

Proverbs 31:22 She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.

I believe I need to start sewing again - soon.
